Adult Literacy
Our Adult Literacy Program is designed to provide literacy services for adult women and out-of-school youth over the age of 25 who are unable to read and write. We provide the reading, writing, and communication skills needed to get a job and/or continue their education. Through this program, we address the community needs and economic concerns such as:
-
Low literacy rate.
-
Lack of qualified and competent workers.
-
High unemployment rates.
-
Low quality of life.
Yon Avni’s adult literacy program is divided into two sections, Adult basic education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE):
ABE - Adult basic education
ASE : Adult secondary education
Our ABE program is designed for adults who lack competence in reading, writing, and problem solving skills.
The ASE program is designed for adults who have some literacy skills but are not proficient.
